"We ate inside the bar restaurant because it was too windy to eat on the much nicer top deck. The food was totally overpriced. I had the steamed seafood bowl. Half of the clam shells were empty and I got exactly 4 shrimp. The broth was too salty and the bowl didn't come with any sides. The price was $25. Including the tip my grandson and I paid $100. No extras and no desserts. In comparison we paid $120 at a much nicer Freemason Abby. That meal included she crab soup, filet minion AND dessert."

Surprised you mentioned Jefferson and Johnson. Back in the days Jefferson was infested with drugs,drugs,drugs. Cleaned up quite a bit over the years. Ran into the Macho man a few times as he grew up there. Nice boxing gym on 1st ave. I always thought Johnson was the better of the two but you had the other dive across park ave so I can see the bad element having an impact.
